2019-2022 History
COVID-19 Pandemic and institution activated Incident Command Center, moving all operation and control under Commander, Velveena Davis, including oversight of Campus Security. CSER members were placed under Commander Davis on managing campus security response for all site and centers, as well as COVID response.
2023 to 2024
ICC sunset, however, role and responsibility Commanding role of Davis continue to manage network with Campus Security, Vice Presidents and Center Directors to re-open sites and return back on-site. CSER Committee will re-activate once all personnel have returned back to campus and within roles. First CSER meeting was held in Spring 2023 on February 4, 2023. Campus Security Supervisor, Clifford James, retired and Interim Emery Deschine took on the new role while we search for a permanent Security Supervisor.
Dine' College entered into MOU agreement with Shiprock Associated Schools, Inc. under the titled, "Community Partnership in Safety" to provide shared efforts on emergency response, shared man-power and resources, etc. Point of Contact for MOU is Velveena Davis (Lead), Winifred Jumbo (Co-Lead), Sya Deschine (Security), and Gabriel Smart (SASI Incident Commander).
