NIS 160 provides philosophical, historical, and culturally practical (hands-on) learning of the foundation of perseverance of Navajo agricultural practices. This includes the study of Navajo agricultural laws and codes practiced prior to European contact as well as techniques documented during colonial contact, modified through1868 treaty mandates and practiced in the contemporary as a result of U.S. agricultural laws.
