This is the second of two courses in which students examine assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in public health. The course focuses on implementation and evaluation as carried out in epideminology, environmental health, health education and promotion, and health services administration. It is taught in accordance with the Dine' educational philosophy (primarily in the realm of Iina and Siihasin). In this couse students wil work with instructors to develop a class intervention to a public health issue on the Navajo Nation. This step by step process will give students the opportunity to put the assessment and planning stages of public health programming into practice.
