Description

Prerequisite: ENG 101, ENV 101 or PUH 111.

This course explores environmental health professionals' roles in ensuring safe and health environments, including sanitation, food safety, and occupational safety, and air and water quality. Policies and activities of federal, state, local, and tribal entities are examined, with a focus on Navajo examples. Navajo cultural beliefs related to nature and the environment provide the foundation on which the course is structured.
