Description

This course is designed for seniors or students who are near graduation. The course will provide students the opportunity to apply knowledge gained from the required courses for the Dine' Studies program degree to: critically examine the current state of American Indian social, political, economic, and cultural issues: examine and apply various models for community intervention and elect various models for community intervention. Leadership characteristics and skills for the twenty-first century will be discussed, and challenges and opportunities for practice and leadership within DIne communities will be identifed. The seminar will take time for collaborating group meetings, and attendance is required. Conversation during seminar will address some of the complex issues involved in bringing Dine' perspectives to research and academic work in Dine' Studies. No exam are given in the course, there will be various writing assignments to strengthen the students writing ability. This c
