Description

Prerequisite: MTH 220 with a grade of C or better.

This course examines the historical development of mathematics and its impact on Western culture as well as its philosophical basis, especially in modern mathematics. Broad outline of the history of mathematics includes the development of its foundations and focuses on important mathematical ideas along with philosophical and cultural forces that shaped them.
