Description
During this course, students are introduced to Geographic Information System (GIS) software using the ArcInfo program. Faculty covers GIS planning methods and the uses and analysis of geographic and atributes data. Students are required to apply what they have learned to summer research projects. The course also includes an introduction to ArcInfo data commands and the ArcView display program. Students must use GIS in a summer research project and in a final presentation.
