Description

Students are introduced to scientific evidence of global climate change especially relating to Native American tribes, including ecological changes on tribal lands. They explore conditions causing climate and the influence of human behaviors. They also investigate actions that can be taken locally to mitigate the impacts of climate change. This course meets three hours lecture and three hours laboratory study per week, which includes field studies and possible weekend field trips. Emphasizes reading, note taking, summarizing, and reporting.
