VISION

Diné College is a Diné-focused institution grounded in the philosophy and principles of Sá'ah Naagháí Bik'eh Hózhóón. Diné College prepares students academically so that they may approach any situation with confidence and competence. By 2009, Diné College will achieve four-year status so as to offer bachelors degree.

MISSION

Diné College is a public institution of higher education chartered by the Navajo Nation. The mission of Diné College is to apply the Sá'ah Naagháí Bik'eh Hózhóón principles to advance quality student learning:

• through Nitsáhákees (Thinking), Nahatá (Planning), Iiná (Living) and Siih Hasin (Assurance).
• in study of the Diné language, history and culture
• in preparation for further studies and employment in a multi-cultural and technological world
• in fostering social responsibility, community service and scholarly research that contribute to the social, economic and cultural well being of the Navajo Nation.

PHILOSOPHY

Diné College bi'óhoo'aah bitsésiléí Sá'ah Naagháí Bik'eh Hózhóón. Nitsáhákees dóó Nahat'á dóó Iiná dóó Siih Hasin t'áá Shá Bik'ehgo bee hahodít'é. Naayée'eek'ehgo na'nitin bine' oodáᣠdóó Hozhóójík'ehgo na'nitin bee hózhóogo oodáá£. Díí Bee óhoo'aah dóó na'anish silá. The educational philosophy of Diné College is Sá'ah Naagháí Bik'eh Hózhóón, the Diné traditional living system, which places human life in harmony with the natural world and the universe. The philosophy provides principles both for protection from the imperfections in life and for the development of well-being.
